Amandamay Naquin-Eason, a 2014 graduate of Splendora High School, is using her $2,000 scholarship to pursue a bachelor’s degree in psychology/criminal justice and plans to continue her education to earn a master’s degree in counseling. “During my years at SHSU I will strive for a successful education so I may be able to help others succeed with their future,” she wrote.

Her scholarship was renewed in 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2017-18.

Splendora High School business and technology teacher Karen Smith-Frazier nominated Naquin-Eason for the scholarship. “One of Amandamay’s strongest assets is her ability to be an involved leader in the school’s Student Council and FBLA and with over 200 hours of community service,” she wrote in her nomination. “Her dedication to these programs is complemented by her sincerity, sensitivity and enthusiasm.”
