Austin Blaydes
Angelo State University

Blaydes, a 2013 graduate of Eden High School, is using his $2,000 scholarship to study management information systems at Angelo State. His TCTA scholarship was renewed for 2014-15.

He plans to pursue a career in the technology field. “I can only imagine how awesome it would feel to be the person who may discover the next exciting thing that will spur our society forward into the next phase of the world’s development,” he wrote in his application.

Eden High School counselor/coach Seth Jackson nominated Blaydes. “Austin is an excellent student who puts forth great effort,” he wrote in his nomination. “He works hard and strives to do the best he can in all of his endeavors.”
